can i sue my real estate attorney for grossly under estimating the property taxes during the closing?

The taxes for 2007 had been set and were more than the ones for 2006 which i assume were used to establish the taxes that we would pay for the end of 2007. The attorney did not check the changes for 2007 and therefore now we have to pay about 8k in the difference due to his lack of due diligence.
I would sue for the taxes that we have to pay while we had not owned the property and agreed to during the closing. We have to pay the second of 2007 and the first half of 2008. All other taxzes i accept full responsibility.

what can a seller deduct for the his selling cost?

can he uses any of them for this tax deductibles? or only some applied like the transfer tax? please let me know. thx.
